You can remove someone from the ⋯ menu on their card or with Delete on their profile. PSS first asks you to confirm. Because team members own work in PSS—routes, job assignments, recurring templates, even the account itself—deleting one is not always a simple removal.
If the member still owns active work, PSS opens the Team Member Replacement window and asks you to hand that work to someone else before the deletion completes. Depending on what the person owns, you may be asked to choose:
- Please select a replacement Technician — shown when the technician still has service route stops, idle routes, recurring job templates, open shopping list items, or open jobs. Their route stops are added to the end of the replacement’s route for each service day, their open jobs move to the replacement (scheduled jobs are placed at the start of the replacement’s day), and their idle routes, recurring job templates, and open shopping list items are reassigned.
- Please select a replacement Manager — shown when the member is the assigned manager on one or more properties; those properties are handed to the replacement.
- Please select a replacement Admin as the new Account Owner — required when removing the owner. The replacement must already be an Admin.
- Please select a replacement for recurring invoice and job template ownership — shown when the member created Recurring Invoices, Recurring Jobs, or Recurring Charges. The replacement must be an Admin.
Pick the required replacements and click Save to finish, or Cancel to stop. When nothing needs reassigning, the member is removed as soon as you confirm, and PSS shows Team Member Deleted Successfully!
Once removed, the person can no longer sign in to your company on the web or in the mobile app. Their history—completed visits, jobs, and past route assignments—stays in PSS. If they return later, invite them again from Add Team Member; a returning technician gets their previous tech settings and privileges back.
Note: You cannot leave the account without an owner, and if the member owns recurring invoice or job templates, another admin must be available to take them over—PSS warns you (no other admins are available to take over) and you must add one first. The same replacement step can appear when you simply remove a role from a member (rather than deleting them), if that role still has work attached.
