Importing Recurring Jobs

Use Import Data → Recurring Jobs to create recurring job templates (Section 3). Sample file: sample-recurring-jobs-import.csv. Because a job needs a client, a property, a technician and a job type, all four must exist before you import.

Columns, in order:

  • ID* — NEW, or the ID from the Recurring Jobs export.
  • Client ID — the client’s ID from the Clients export (required).
  • Client Display Name — required, and must belong to that Client ID.
  • Property ID — the property’s ID from the Properties export (required; must belong to the client).
  • BOW Name, Address — for reference only.
  • Assigned To — technician display name (must hold the Technician role).
  • Subject
  • Start Date — YYYY-MM-DD; must be in the future for new templates or when changed.
  • Job Type — the job type name (required; one of your job types or a built-in one).
  • Readings View, Dosages View, Checklist View — the names of the visit views to use, if any.
  • Interval Type — Month, Day or Year.
  • Interval Duration — a number ≥ 1 (for Day, at least 7).
  • Scheduling Option — Automatic Schedule to schedule each generated job automatically; anything else creates each job as a draft.
  • Is Jump Ahead — YES turns on the Jump Ahead option: PSS tries to use the property’s next service date as the start date of each generated job.
  • Duration Type — Multiple Days, or anything else for Single Day.
  • Duration Days — 1 to 45 for a multi-day job.
  • Duration Time Per Day — HH:MM.
  • Item1 Type, Item1 Catalog Name, Item1 Qty, Item1 Price — then the same four columns for Item2 and Item3. Both the item type and the catalog item must exist for every line item you fill in.
  • Instructions, Client Notes
  • Tags — semicolon-separated.
  • Is Tech Pay — YES/NO.
  • Tech Pay Calc Method — Fixed, Percentage, Hourly or Catalog Tech Pay (required when tech pay is YES). With Catalog Tech Pay the amount is calculated from the line items’ catalog tech pay.
  • Tech Pay Amount

A client can have at most 12 recurring jobs. Rows for a client that already has 12 are skipped, and the final message adds At least one client was skipped because the client already had the max 12 recurring jobs.
