The Home Page tab builds the About Us panel that fills the right-hand side of the portal’s Home page — the first thing a client sees after signing in. Every item on this tab is optional and only appears in the portal if you fill it in: an empty field is left out altogether rather than shown blank. Section 29.3 shows the finished result from the client’s side.
Company Logo
Drag an image onto the panel or click browse to pick one.
- JPG, PNG or GIF, up to 50 MB.
- 100×100 (square) or 100×300 (wide) pixels at 300 DPI, full bleed, gives the cleanest result.
- This is separate from the logo on Settings → Preferences (Section 13 — Settings), which is the one used on invoices and emails. Setting one does not set the other.
Company Mission
A short statement of what your business stands for, up to 1,500 characters — a counter below the box tracks how much you have used. It appears at the top of the About Us panel under the heading Company Mission, so write it for a client reading it for the first time, not as internal copy.
Company Video
Two ways to add one, and you only need one of them:
- Upload — drag in an MP4, MOV or WEBM up to 200 MB. 1080p (1920×1080) looks best.
- Attach a link — paste a YouTube URL into the field under or attach link and click Attach.
A welcome message from the owner, or a short “what to expect from your service” clip, is the usual choice.
Note: An uploaded video is not stored until you press Save — the panel says Click Save below to save your video while it is waiting. The same is true of the logo. Both are uploaded to PSS’s own storage, so the file does not have to stay on your computer.
Contact Information
Four separate fields, each shown only when filled:
- Phone — the number clients should call.
- Business email — where portal enquiries should land.
- Street address — your office or yard address.
-
Website — your public site, written as a full address (
https://…).
In the portal these appear together under a single heading, Contact, in the order above.
Note: These are your portal contact details, and nothing else uses them. They do not have to match the company details on Settings → Preferences — use a service line and a monitored inbox here if that is where you would rather clients reached you.
Social Media Logos
Five fields — Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and LinkedIn — each taking the full address of your page.
- An icon appears in the portal only for a field you filled in. Leave the rest blank and their icons stay hidden; there are no dead links.
- The icons are shown under Social Media in the About Us panel and open in a new tab.
Team Members
This is where you introduce the people behind the service. The list is built from your Team settings (Section 8 — Team) and grouped by role — Admins, Managers, Technicians — and the photo and name of each person come from their Team profile. The link at the foot of the panel takes you to Team to change those. In the portal the third group is headed Our Technicians.
Each row has two icon buttons on the right:
- Camera — hides that person’s photo while keeping their name. Their avatar becomes a circle with their initials, both in this list and in the portal. The tooltip reads Hide photo in Admins (or Managers / Technicians).
- Eye — hides the person entirely. The row greys out here, and they do not appear in the portal at all. The tooltip reads Hide from Admins (or Managers / Technicians).
In the screenshot above, Dave, Anthony Brown and Samantha are shown by initials because their photos are hidden, and Tracy is hidden from Admins completely — note that she still appears under Managers below.
Note: Visibility is set per role. Somebody who holds more than one role — an Admin who is also a Manager, or an owner who also runs a route — appears once in each role group, and each one is hidden or shown separately. Hiding them from one role leaves them visible in the others.
Note: A team member who has no photo on their Team profile is shown by their initials automatically. You do not have to hide anything to get that. The same fallback covers a photo that cannot be loaded for any reason, so clients never see a broken image in About Us.
There is no way to reorder people or rename a role group from here; the grouping follows the roles assigned in Team.
Saving and previewing
- Save, at the foot of the tab, commits everything on it. PSS confirms with Home Page settings saved.
- Preview portal, on the right, opens your portal home page in a new tab so you can see exactly what a client will see. No sign-in is needed, and no client data is shown.
