Tags are labels you attach to jobs, invoices, properties and catalog items so you can filter and group them. Tags also power the tag filters in exports and reports. The panel lists every tag available to your company.
Built-in tags
PSS ships a set of tags every company can use, such as Filter Cleaning, Salt Cell Cleaning, Basket Cleaning, Pool Brushing, Pool Vacuuming and Leaf Catcher Cleaning. Built-in tags have no Edit or Delete action; their names and descriptions are fixed.
Note: The Filter Cleaning tag has one special effect. A completed job that carries it (or that uses the Filter Cleaning job type) counts as a filter cleaning for the property’s Last Times — the dates PSS tracks for recurring maintenance and shows on the visit form and in the Filters Last Cleaned export — even if the technician did not tick the checklist item. Every other checklist item’s Last Time is credited only when the technician actually ticks it on a visit or job.
Custom tags
You can add as many tags of your own as you like (for example Green Pool, New Construction, HOA):
- Click Create New.
- Enter a Name (required) and an optional Description.
- Click Save.
Custom tags show Edit and Delete actions in their row. Deleting asks for confirmation first. Tag names are matched without regard to case when data is imported, so an import that names an existing tag reuses it rather than creating a duplicate.
