Preferences holds your company profile and the regional defaults PSS applies everywhere: invoices, emails, visit reports, the mobile app and the client portal. The panel shows the current values; click Edit Preferences to open the editing form, make your changes, then click Save Preferences. The page reloads so every screen picks up the new values.
The fields are:
- Account Owner — the login email of the person who owns the account. It is shown for reference only and cannot be changed here (see Section 8 for transferring ownership).
- Company Name — appears on invoices, emails and the client portal.
- Company Address — your business address. PSS geocodes it when you save; if the address cannot be located you are asked to enter a valid one. The address is also used as the starting point for any technician who has no starting address of their own.
- Company Email — the reply-to address for service visit emails and other general PSS emails.
- Company Phone — your business phone number.
- Company Logo — upload an image; it appears on invoices, emailed reports and the client portal. Uploading a new logo replaces the old one.
- Time Zone — the time zone dates and times are shown in throughout the app (for example (GMT-04:00) America, New York).
- Locale — the language and regional formatting, chosen from a searchable list (for example English (United States), Portuguese (Brazil)).
- Currency — the currency for invoices and payments (for example USD (United States)).
- Currency Symbol — the symbol printed in front of amounts, up to 3 characters (for example * or * R).
- Date Format — one of MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, DD.MM.YYYY, YYYY.MM.DD or YYYY/MM/DD. The panel shows today’s date in the chosen format.
- Get Orenda Advice — Yes (default) or No. Controls whether Orenda chemical advice is offered on visits.
- LSI Calculator — Orenda (default) or Bob Lowry: which formula PSS uses for the Langelier Saturation Index.
- Measurement System — Imperial (default) or Metric. Choosing Metric reveals an extra checkbox, Enable entering pool volume in cubic meters; without it, metric pool volumes are entered in liters.
- Temperature — Fahrenheit (default) or Celsius.
- Automatic Property Pausing — Never Automatically pause properties (default), or After 1 week … After 6 weeks without planned or completed work.
- WhatsApp Business Integration — Yes or No. The account-wide switch for WhatsApp messaging (see 13.5).
Note: The reply-to address for invoice emails is not the Company Email. It is set separately on Invoices → Configure (Section 6), as the form itself reminds you.
What changes when you switch units or locale
A few of these fields do more than change a label:
- Changing Measurement System converts the units on your dosage items (gallons become liters, pounds become kilograms, and so on) so the Visit Tasks & Costs configuration stays consistent.
- Changing Temperature converts the unit on the built-in Water Temperature reading.
- Changing Locale fills in the default wording of your visit, job and invoice messages in the new language — but only for message fields you have never customized. Anything you have already edited is left alone. If WhatsApp Business is connected and the new locale is one WhatsApp templates exist for (English (United States) or Portuguese (Brazil)), the WhatsApp account’s language follows the company locale.
Automatic Property Pausing
When a property has had no planned or completed work for the number of weeks you choose, PSS pauses it for you overnight, exactly as if you had paused it by hand on the Routes page. This keeps idle properties from counting toward your subscription (see Section 5). The check only considers properties older than a week, and it is skipped entirely while the company’s license is expired. Choose Never Automatically pause properties to turn it off.
WhatsApp Business Integration
This switch is set to Yes automatically when you connect a WhatsApp Business account and back to No when you disconnect it. While an account is connected the switch is locked, with the reminder Disconnect WhatsApp before disabling; trying to save it as No with an account connected is rejected with You must disconnect WhatsApp Business before disabling the integration.
