- Click Add New in the top-right corner (or choose Edit from a row’s three-dot menu).
- Fill in the form:
- Company Name — the prospect’s business name, if any. For a commercial or HOA prospect this can stand in for a person’s name.
- Lead Status* — required. New leads default to Open - Not Contacted; see 16.5.
- Client Type — the type the client would be set up as. Optional here, but used when the lead is converted (16.6).
- Lead Source — the channel that produced the enquiry, chosen from the same list that appears as Advertising Source on a property record (section 1).
- First Name and Last Name — up to 75 characters each.
- Phone Number — must be a valid phone number if entered.
- Email — must be a valid email address if entered.
- Address — start typing and pick the suggestion from the address lookup; the full address is stored in this one field (up to 120 characters).
- Notes* — required. Record the conversation, what they asked for, and any follow-up you promised.
- Click Save. The window closes and the table refreshes.
Note: Only Lead Status and Notes are required, so you can log a lead from a voicemail with nothing more than a note. Filling in Lead Source every time is what makes the source column useful later, and filling in Address lets PSS create the property for you at conversion.
