Where clients store a card or bank account and manage Auto Pay.
Add Payment Method opens a dialog with two tabs:
- Card — name on card, card number, expiry, CVC.
- US Bank Account — ACH Direct Debit: email, full name, then either search for their bank and sign in to it, or Enter bank details manually instead, which takes 1–2 business days to verify by micro-deposits.
Note: A bank account cannot be used to pay until it is verified. Searching for the bank and signing in verifies it immediately; entering the numbers by hand does not.
Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure fields. PSS never stores the card number; only the brand and last four digits are kept.
Once saved, the method is listed with its brand, last four digits, cardholder name and expiry:
- The client’s first saved method is automatically marked Primary — the one used for Auto Pay and preselected when paying.
- The ⋮ menu offers Remove. Make primary appears only on a method that is eligible and is not already Primary.
Auto Pay
Turning Auto Pay on lets PSS charge the Primary method automatically. A scope choice appears:
- Both recurring and one-time invoices
- Recurring invoices only
- One-time invoices only
Note: Auto Pay needs a method that can actually be charged. A bank account still waiting on micro-deposit verification, or a method on a payment type you have since switched off, cannot be used — the portal tells the client which method will be charged when it differs from the one marked Primary.
Note: Bank accounts (ACH) are US dollars only. If your company bills in another currency, only cards are offered.
