Mobile App · Technician
A visit is the record of the work done at a property: the chemistry read, the chemicals added, the tasks completed, and the photos that prove it. Visits are recorded on the phone by whoever is at the pool.
Note: Your client gets a visit report. When you tap Finish Stop, PSS automatically emails the client a visit report (as long as the client has an email address and the property’s Send Visit Email is on). Testing with a real client? Keep this in mind before you finish the stop. Automatic reports can be turned off under Settings → Messages → Visit Completed.
Opening the day’s work
- Open the app. The Dashboard shows a card for each technician with the day’s progress (for example, 0 of 4 done).
- Check the date at the top. Tap < or > to change days.
- Tap ☰ → Routes to see the day’s stops in order.
Arriving at the property
- Tap a stop to open it. Before you start, the stop screen shows the client and property, the address, gate code, pool details, notes, directions and equipment.
- When you’re on site, tap Arrived at Property. This starts the visit and opens the recording sections.
Note: After you arrive, the button changes to Reset Arrival. Use it only if you tapped by mistake — it clears the arrival so you can start again.
The more-options menu on the stop also offers On My Way (lets the client know you’re coming), Call Client, View Manager, Notify Office and Get Orenda Advice.
Recording the visit
Everything appears on one scrolling screen. Work from top to bottom:
- Readings — enter each water chemistry value, or drag its slider. Each reading shows the last recorded value and how long ago. Tap the chart icon to see the history.
- Orenda calculator — tap Get LSI and Dosages to calculate the saturation index and get suggested dosages from the readings you just entered.
- Dosages — enter the amount of each chemical you added. Leave a chemical blank if you didn’t use it — dosages drive your chemical cost reporting.
- Shopping Items / Extra Items / Other Open Jobs — tap + to add something to buy, add an extra billable item to this visit, or raise a new job.
- Checklist — tap the box for each task you completed. Leave it blank for any task you didn’t do — the blank box is the office’s record that it was skipped.
Finishing the stop
- Type any comments for the client in the comment box.
- Tap Photo to take a picture or Video to record one. Photos are the strongest proof of work and settle questions before they become disputes.
- Tap Finish Stop.
Note: The When Stop is Done setting (under ☰ → Settings) controls whether the app goes straight to the next stop or back to the list.
Checking the visit arrived
- On the phone — open ☰ → Visit History. Each completed visit shows who did it, the date, time and duration.
- Not showing up? Open ☰ → Uploads. A visit waiting there hasn’t reached the server yet — tap Retry All once you have signal.
- In the office — the visit appears on the web app under Visit History, and on the client’s Visit History tab. From there you can review photos and readings, and use Send Visit to send the report again.
