Web App · Admin
Skip this part if you are running solo for now — you are already set up as a technician.
The Team page
Click Team in the left-hand menu, under People & Billing. Your team members are listed on the left, each with their role(s) and a status badge: Confirmed once they have accepted their invitation, or Pending while you are waiting on them. Click a member to see their details on the right.
Understanding the three roles
Every member has at least one role. You can give someone more than one — an owner who also services pools might hold all three.
- Admin — full access, including billing, settings, team management and all work. The person who created the account is the Admin (Owner).
- Manager — runs day-to-day operations (clients, scheduling, routes, jobs, invoicing) without owner-level control of the account.
- Technician — services pools in the field with the PSS mobile app. Adding this role unlocks the technician’s field settings on their profile.
Note: Roles decide which parts of PSS a person can use. Privileges fine-tune what a technician can do in the field.
Inviting your team
- Click Add Team Member.
- Enter the person’s Name and Email, then tick one or more roles: Admin, Manager, Technician.
- To invite several people at once, click Add Another Person.
- (Recommended) Type a message to include in the invitation — for example, a reminder to download the mobile app.
- Click Send Invitation. New members show as Pending until they accept. If someone needs the email again, use Resend Invite from the ⋯ menu next to their name.
Setting up a technician’s profile
Click the technician in the list, then click Edit. A member with the Technician role has these extra sections:
- Privileges — turn on extra field abilities:
- Enable as Master Tech — lets a lead tech see and work the whole team’s routes.
- Allow Jobs Management — create and manage jobs from the phone.
- Allow Client Phone Access — shows clients’ phone numbers in the app.
- Allow Catalog Pricing Access — shows catalog prices in the app.
- Only Allow Camera Upload(s) — photos must be taken with the camera, not picked from the gallery.
- Tech Only Sees Direct Job Assignments — limits the tech to jobs assigned directly to them.
- Allow Same Day Stops Reordering (Self) — lets the tech reorder their own stops for the current day.
- Tech Settings:
- Work Start Time — when the technician’s day begins; used for route timing.
- Color — the tech’s color on the route map.
- Work Starting Address — where the tech starts their day; used for route optimization.
- Per Visit Payroll (Optional) — what you pay this tech per route visit, by property type.
- General Work Capacity — the hours the tech is normally available each day of the week.
Click Save at the top of the profile when you’re done.
Note: Enable as Master Tech and Allow Same Day Stops Reordering (Self) can’t both be on — turning one on turns the other off.
