These are the messages PSS sends to a client on the portal’s behalf. All of them are branded with your logo and colours and written in your company’s language. None of them are editable except the invitation, whose wording comes from the Client Welcome tab (21.11).
| When | Subject the client sees |
|---|---|
| You send an invitation | your Client Welcome wording, with a Set Up Your Account button |
| They open the invitation | Your account setup code — the 6-digit code for the Verify Your Email step |
| They use Forgot Password? | Your password reset code |
| They finish a password reset, or change their password on Profile | Your password has been reset |
| They start a login-email change on Profile | Verify your email to change your login — code to their current address |
| They enter the new address | Verify your new login email — code to the new address |
| The login email change completes | Your portal login email was changed — sent to the old address |
| Your office replies to a work request | Reply to your service request (or Updated reply to your service request), with a View In Client Portal button |
- The two password emails and the login-changed email exist so an unauthorised change gets noticed. Each of them tells the client to contact you right away if they did not make the change.
- Invoices, service reports and announcements are not portal emails — PSS sends those to the notification Email list on the client record, whether or not the client has portal access (21.10).
Note: Changing the password cancels anything else in flight on that account — any outstanding password-reset link, and any login-email change the client had started. That is deliberate: changing the password is how someone takes their account back, so it has to end every other route in.
