The cards and lists are updated every time you open or refresh the page, so they always reflect the current data. Separately, some rule types also generate a notification at the moment the technician’s visit reaches the server, so the office hears about a problem without opening the Control Center. Notifications are delivered to the in-app inbox and, if enabled, the mobile app — see Section 9.
Rule types that can notify, and the Notification Preferences row each maps to:
- Readings → Readings - Value Comparisons, Readings - Present Or Not Present, Readings - Percent Changes Up Or Down.
- Dosages → Dosages - Value Comparisons, Dosages - Present Or Not Present, Dosages - Percent Changes Up Or Down.
- Short Visits / Long Visits → the Short Visits and Long Visits rows, one for plain numbers and one Against The Work Estimate.
- Too Far Away → Too Far Away - Check-In and Too Far Away - Check-Out.
- Low Inventory → Low Inventory Detected, raised when a tracked item’s count changes.
- Office Notifications (media rules) → Visit Media - All / Before / After / Review.
- Office Notifications (Attention Item Marked) and Missed Work (Purchased Shopping Item Is Not Installed) → Attention Item Marked (under General) and Purchased Item Not Installed (under Shopping Items).
All of these sit under the Control Center Notifications heading in Notification Preferences unless noted. The technician whose stop triggered a Readings or Dosages rule can also receive Control Center Readings/Dosages Rule Triggered On My Stop under My Work.
How they are sent:
- Who: by default Admins and the property’s assigned Property Manager; the person who saved the visit is excluded. An administrator can change recipients on the Allowed Recipients tab.
- Which channel: each recipient’s own My Notifications settings. Most Control Center rows are switched off by default — only Low Inventory Detected and Visit Media - All (and the Attention Item / Purchased Item rows) start switched on — so each person who wants Control Center alerts must turn on the rows they care about.
- Which rules: a notification is only sent when the visit actually matches one of your saved rules for that type — the Control Center rules are the gate. Deleting a rule stops both the card row and the alert. Hiding a card with Configuration Options does not stop its alerts.
- Cooldown: repeated alerts of the same type are suppressed for a short period so one bad visit does not flood the inbox.
Note: Late Invoices, Equipments, and the missed-job and skipped-visit parts of Missed Work are list-only — they appear on their cards but never send a Control Center rule notification. Missed-stop alerts exist, but they are decided by the separate missed-work detection described in Section 9.13.4, not by these rules.
