Duplicating an item
Duplication is the quickest way to create a variant of an existing item — for example the same service at a commercial and a residential price.
- Hover over the row and click its three-dot menu.
- Select Duplicate. The item form opens pre-filled with every field of the original, including its tags, Default Job Duration and Tech Pay settings.
- Change the name, price or anything else that differs.
- Click Save. The copy is created as a new item; the original is untouched.
Note: Nothing is created until you click Save — closing the form discards the copy.
Deleting an item
- Hover over the row and click its three-dot menu.
- Select Delete.
- In the Confirm Delete prompt, click OK.
Deleting is permanent and there is no “inactive” state for catalog items — if you want to stop a tech from picking an item but might need it again, rename it (for example prefix it with zz-) rather than deleting it. Existing jobs, invoices, visits and shopping list entries keep their own copy of the item’s name and price, so past documents are not affected. If the item was the billing item for a chemical dosage in a Dosages task view (section 2), that link is cleared when the item is deleted.
