The PSS mobile app is the technician’s workbench in the field. The Routes screen shows the day’s stops in stop-number order, with a date selector to look at other days and a per-day done / total count. Each row shows the property and, once worked, Done, Skipped or Done Off Schedule; a stop on a bi-weekly property’s off week reads No Service This Week, and upcoming jobs appear alongside route stops. A View Paused and Temp Moved option lists the stops that are not active this week.
Opening a stop starts the visit (the arrival time is recorded automatically) and shows the tech:
- The configured Task Views — the Readings, Dosages and Checklist steps assigned to the property, with required items enforced before the stop can be finished.
- Property Notes — the Notes for Technician entered on the property record (gate codes, dog warnings, equipment quirks).
- Last service on date, Today’s Related Readings, and Trends — past readings and past dosages for the property, useful for spotting chemistry drift visit over visit.
- Items Needed — the Shopping List items purchased for that property that the tech should have on the truck (section 14).
- Photo and video capture (Take Photo / Record Video, with Before / After categories) and Comments to the client that appear in the Visit Completed report.
- A more-options menu with On My Way (send the client a heads-up), Call Client, View Manager, Notify Office and Get Orenda Advice (the LSI / chemistry calculator).
- Finish Stop to check out, or Skip to record a skipped visit with a reason.
Techs who hold only the Technician role see their own routes and jobs, and cannot change the order of their stops: the day’s more-options menu (Optimize Stops, Move Stops, Download Estimated Times) and drag-to-reorder are hidden for them unless Master Tech mode is on or they hold the Allow Same Day Stops Reordering (Self) privilege — and that privilege unlocks only the current day, for their own stops (Move Stops still needs Master Tech mode). Adding a service route from the app (Add Service Route) is limited to Admins and Managers; a Technician-only user with Allow Jobs Management can add jobs.
If a Technician has been enabled as a Master Tech and turns Master Tech Mode on in the app’s Settings, two additional capabilities unlock:
- The tech sees other technicians’ routes and jobs for the day alongside their own, and can filter by technician or view All Techs.
- The tech can record visits on those technicians’ behalf — useful for covering vacations, training new hires, or pitching in on a busy day. With the mode off, opening another tech’s property is blocked with Master tech mode is DISABLED and another tech is assigned to this property.
