Each service-route stop card in Manage Routes exposes a three-dot menu with these actions:
- Edit — change the stop’s Assign To technician, Service Day or Stop Number (and move it permanently or temporarily — section 2.6).
- Pause Service — suspend this property’s stop on this weekday for a period, keeping its history and recurrence pattern intact.
- Delete — remove this service route (the property on this weekday) entirely.
- Restart Service / End Temp Move — appear instead on stops that are currently paused or temporarily moved.
The right choice depends on whether the customer’s service is on hold, whether one day needs to come off the schedule, or whether service has been cancelled outright.
Note: There is no web action for skipping a single week. A one-off skip is recorded by the technician in the mobile app (Skip on the stop, with a reason), which marks that visit SKIPPED and leaves the schedule untouched. To keep a stop off the schedule for a known period, use Pause Service with an end date.
Pause a stop’s recurring service
Use Pause when the customer is traveling, the pool is being renovated, or the account is on temporary hold.
- Open Manage Routes for the technician.
- Find the property’s stop on the relevant day card.
- Click the three-dot menu on the stop and select Pause Service.
- In the Pause Service dialog, set the Start Date (today or later) and either an End Date or tick No End Date.
- Click Save.
If the start date is today, the stop moves at once to the Paused & Temp Moved section of the day, labelled PAUSED (Restarts date) or PAUSED (No End). If the start date is in the future, the stop stays in place labelled Pausing on [date] until then. When the end date arrives, PSS restarts the route automatically overnight; to restart earlier, choose Restart Service from the paused stop’s menu. The property record remains active and all past history is preserved.
This pauses one weekday of the property. To pause every route a property has — or every property a client has — use the map popup’s three-dot menu: Pause Property or Pause Client (with Restart Property / Restart Client to undo). Pause Property is also available on the property tile in the client’s Properties tab. A paused property is marked PAUSED on its tile in the client profile and in its map popup header (Paused on date — PAUSED (Restarts date)), and is left out of Quick Routes selections until restarted.
Delete a service route from a technician’s day
Use this when the property should no longer be visited on that weekday (the client dropped from twice a week to once, for example) but service continues on other days.
- Open Manage Routes for the technician.
- Find the stop on the day card.
- Click the three-dot menu on the stop and click Delete.
- If the location has other bodies of water on the same route, tick the ones to delete along with it, then click Delete in the Delete Route dialog.
The remaining stops on that day are renumbered. Visits already recorded for the property are kept.
Delete a property’s entire recurring service
Use this when the customer has cancelled service for the property entirely but you want to keep the property and its history.
- Open the client and go to the Properties tab, then open the property (View).
- In the Service Routes card, use each route’s three-dot menu > Delete until no routes remain.
- Alternatively, set the property’s Service End date on the Edit Property form — once the date passes, PSS removes the property’s service routes for you.
Past visits and invoices remain in history; the property simply stops generating new stops. (The property tile’s own Delete action removes the whole property, not just its routes.)
Delete all of a technician’s routes for chosen days
When a technician leaves and their routes are not being handed to someone else, Delete Routes clears whole days at once.
- On the Routes page, click the three-dot menu next to the technician and select Delete Routes.
- Click the weekday buttons to select the days to clear (each shows how many service routes that day has), or All. The summary updates: N service route(s) will be permanently deleted, including how many paused routes are included.
- Click Delete, then Yes, delete in the confirmation.
Only service routes are deleted — jobs are not affected. Routes of the selected days that are temporarily moved to another tech stay there permanently, and routes temporarily moved onto the selected days return to their original technician or day. If you would rather hand the routes to a colleague, use Move Routes (section 2.6) instead.
