If you want to stop your paid subscription entirely, use the Cancel Subscription option. (If you only want to move to a smaller paid plan, see 5.7; if you want to keep a no-cost account instead of canceling, choose the Free plan.)
Where to find it. The Cancel Subscription button is on the Contact Support tab (Subscription & Billing → Contact Support), not on the Subscription Plan tab. It appears there only when you have an active paid subscription.
To cancel:
- Open Subscription & Billing → Contact Support.
- Click the red Cancel Subscription button.
- Confirm — the window asks “Are you sure you want to cancel your subscription?” and shows the date your license will expire. If you are canceling because of a problem, use the Contact Us link here to reach support instead. Otherwise click Cancel Subscription to continue.
- Tell us why — choose a reason for leaving (if you pick Other, describe it in the box), then click Next.
- Alternative software — tell us which software provider you are switching to, or choose Other and type it in. Click Next.
- You will see Cancellation Request Submitted, along with the date your subscription is active through. Click Done.
What happens after you cancel:
- Your subscription is not cut off immediately. It stays active through the end of your current billing period, and you keep full access until then.
- You will not be charged again after the current period ends.
- The Subscription Plan tab shows a bar reading Your cancellation request is received, and Next Payment on the payment card is blank.
- Changed your mind? You can undo the cancellation any time before the period ends by clicking Keep My Subscription (on the success window, on the cancellation bar, or on the Contact Support tab), which reactivates your plan so it continues as normal.
Note: Canceling ends your paid plan at the end of the current period. If your goal is only to lower your cost, downgrading to a smaller plan (see 5.7) or moving to the Free plan keeps your account active instead.
