- Enter chemical costs first. Until every chemical you dose has a cost in Settings → Visit Tasks & Costs, the Dosage Cost column understates your spend and the percentages are misleading.
- Fill in pool volumes. A high missing count in the summary row means Cost / Volume is incomplete. The inline pencil (11.7) makes this a quick pass.
- Set your thresholds before your first month-end. The two red highlights flag outliers while you can still check the technician’s dosage entries or adjust pricing, rather than after the invoice has gone out.
- Bill on a fixed cycle. Running Create Dosage Invoice with the same date range each month (the default is the current calendar month) keeps clients’ dosage charges predictable.
- Use tags or client types to bill segments separately. If residential and commercial clients are billed differently, filter to one segment, create its invoices, then switch to the next; each run only touches the properties you checked.
- Watch the Percent view. Switch Sort Dosage Cost By to Percent and sort the Dosage Cost column descending to see which properties are consuming the largest share of their revenue in chemicals.
