Click the gear icon at the top-right of the widget to open Widget Settings. These settings are saved for your whole company, so a change made by one user applies to everyone who opens the Dashboard.
Alert and display settings
- Dosage Cost Alert Threshold (%) — a property’s dosage cost is shown in red when it exceeds this percentage of its revenue. Default 15. This field is required; it highlights rows, it does not hide them.
- Sort Dosage Cost By — Amount (default) or Percent; decides whether sorting on the Dosage Cost column uses the currency amount or the percentage of revenue.
- Pool Volume Unit — the pool volume that Cost / Volume is normalized to, entered as a number in your company’s unit (gal or L). Default 10000, giving figures such as “$4.20 per 10,000 gal”. It must be at least 1. Changing it recalculates the Cost / Volume column when you save.
- Cost per Volume Alert Threshold — a currency amount; a property’s Cost / Volume is shown in red when it is at or above this value. Leave it blank (No threshold) to turn the highlight off.
Invoice settings
These decide what Create Dosage Invoice does. The invoice itself is created with your company’s invoice defaults (due-date rule, taxes and default notes; see Section 6).
- Auto-Send Invoice After Creation — Yes emails each invoice to the client as soon as it is created, which moves it out of Draft (to Sent, or Late if the due date has already passed). A client with no email address on file cannot be emailed, so that invoice stays a draft. No (default) leaves the invoices as drafts for you to review in Invoices.
- Invoice Subject Line — the subject given to each new dosage invoice. Default Invoice for Dosages Used.
-
Invoice Creation Mode — what happens when the client already has a draft invoice:
- Add to draft invoice (if present), otherwise create a new invoice (default) — the dosage line items are appended to the client’s most recent draft; a new invoice is created only when there is no draft.
- Create a new invoice — always creates a separate invoice for each property, even if a draft exists.
-
Line Items Format — how the dosages appear on the invoice:
- Grouped line items per dosage (default) — one line per chemical, with the quantities from every visit in the period added together.
- Individual line items per visit — one line per chemical per visit, each described with its service date (for example “Dosage cost for Liquid Chlorine on Jun 3, 2026”).
Click Save to apply the settings or Cancel to discard your changes. Every field except Cost per Volume Alert Threshold must be filled in before you can save.
Note: On the invoice, a chemical is priced from the Catalog Item (for invoicing) linked to it under Settings → Visit Tasks & Costs when one is set (using that catalog item’s name, rate and tax settings). A chemical with no catalog item is billed at the cost per unit from Cost Data, under your default product line item type, with no tax. If you intend to charge clients for chemicals, link each dosage to a catalog item so the sell price, not your cost, lands on the invoice.
