Sending a completed visit to the client is one of the most common things you will do from this page—it gives the customer a record of the work, the readings, and the photos from the visit. Click Send Visit in the action bar to open the Send Visit window.
- Click Send Visit.
- Turn on the channel(s) you want—EMAIL, SMS, or both. All channels start switched off:
- EMAIL — reveals the Email Address (the client’s is filled in for you; separate several with commas), a Subject, and a Message, all pre-filled and editable before you send.
- SMS — reveals the Mobile Number (the client’s is filled in for you) and a text Message, with a character counter beneath it.
- WhatsApp — appears only if your company has the WhatsApp integration turned on and a WhatsApp Business account connected. It reveals the WhatsApp Number; the message is a fixed, pre-approved template you can preview but not edit.
- Adjust the recipient, subject, or message as needed.
- Click Send, or Cancel to close without sending.
Note: At least one channel must be on, and every field in an open channel must be filled in, before you can send. The pre-filled subject and messages come from your company’s visit message templates in Settings (see 13) for service visits, and from the Jobs message configuration (see 3.2) for job visits. A text longer than the SMS limit is shortened when sent, keeping the link to the report.
The send is recorded in the visit’s Activity Timeline as Visit Sent, with the recipients it went to.
