The bell icon in the top-right corner is a shortcut you can reach from anywhere in PSS. Its red badge shows your unread count (it reads 99+ past ninety-nine), and clicking it opens a compact drop-down of your five most recent notifications. The badge refreshes itself every 20 seconds while the tab is open, and the same count appears beside Notifications in the left-hand menu.
From the drop-down you can:
- Click any notification to jump to it on the full Notifications page, already selected and marked read.
- Click Mark all read to clear the unread badge.
- Click See all notifications to open the full Notifications page.
