The Calendar Heatmap is a visual overlay that color-codes each calendar day by how full the selected technicians’ schedules are. It is the fastest way to find an open slot for a new job. The heatmap surfaces in two places:
- Scheduler view — right panel labeled Scheduling Calendar Heatmap, with a Choose one or more techs selector.
- Geo-Scheduler view — right panel that combines the heatmap with capacity readouts and the drag-to-schedule zone.
The color scale reads as follows:
- White — no work capacity is set for the technician(s) that day.
- Light blue — the day has plenty of available capacity.
- Darker blue — the day is increasingly booked.
- Orange / red — the day is at or over capacity (booked solid).
To use the heatmap:
- On the Jobs page, open either the Scheduler or Geo-Scheduler tab.
- In the heatmap right panel, choose one or more techs from the dropdown, or leave it on All Technicians for the company-wide view.
- The calendar updates with color-coded days for your selection. Use the single arrows to move one month and the double arrows to jump one year.
- Hover a day for the exact reading: Full work capacity available, About N% of work capacity used, or Work capacity is not set.
- Click a day to list that day’s work below the calendar: a count of techs, jobs, and routes, then each technician’s stops in order with a Sort by control (Technician, Work Item Count, Work Item Duration). Each stop has an ellipsis menu (View or Edit, and for route stops Pause Service / Restart Service / End Temp Move).
- While a single-day open job is selected in the center panel, the stop list also shows how many miles away each stop is from the job’s property and offers Move Here slots between stops — click one to place the job at that point in the technician’s day.
