Geo-Scheduling helps you place new jobs efficiently by surfacing what work is already happening near the property in question. The goal is to minimize drive time and cluster work geographically.
To open the Geo-Scheduler:
- On the Jobs page, switch to the Geo-Scheduler tab (globe and pin icon).
- Select a job from the left panel to populate the workflow. Until you select a job, the center and right panels show an empty state prompting you to choose one.
The Geo-Scheduler view has three regions:
- Left panel — the same job list as the Scheduler, with + Add Job, search, the funnel filters, and a View Job link on each card that opens the full Job Details window.
- Center panel — the three-step scheduling workflow:
- 1. Select a Job Date — the job’s day boxes, each with its duration and a Total Work: figure. Click + to add another day (PSS confirms before switching a single-day job to multi-day).
- 2. Select a Nearby Stop — a map showing existing stops within a configurable radius of the selected job’s property. Pick 5 miles, 10 miles, 15 miles, 20 miles, 25 miles, or 30 miles from the radius dropdown, use the funnel to filter the properties shown, and Re-center Map if you pan away. Pins are colored by the technician(s) who service that property.
- 3. Review Work on the Nearby Stop & Perform Scheduling — click a pin to see that property’s work: the tech (Assigned to [name] or Unassigned), the next service date or job date, Approx. N miles away, the client, the route frequency or job type, the address, and its stop position (for example
Stop 3 (Total: 12 stops, 5h 30m)). Under Quick Scheduling Actions, click Move Here (Before) or Move Here (After) to place the job next to that stop.
- Right panel — appears once a job date is selected: a technician selector, a date picker, the Calendar Heatmap (section 3.7), the readouts Available Capacity (or Capacity Not Set), Jobs, and Service Routes for that tech and day, the day’s stop list, and a Drag Here to Schedule Job / OR click here to schedule zone. An Optimize button reorders the day’s stops for the shortest drive.
To schedule a job near other work:
- In the left panel, select the job to schedule.
- In the center panel, select the job date.
- Adjust the search radius to surface more or fewer nearby stops.
- Click a nearby property pin on the map to see its details.
- Click Move Here (Before) or Move Here (After) to attach the job to that technician’s day next to the nearby stop.
To use the right panel instead of the map:
- Choose a tech and a target date.
- Drag the job’s card into the stop list where you want it, or click OR click here to schedule to append it to the day. To take it back off the day, drag it to Move Here to unschedule or click OR click here to unschedule.
Note: A day that is already scheduled on a different date or technician shows Currently scheduled on [date] with [tech] in the right panel. Unschedule it first if you want to move it.
